In “Conclave,” Rossellini delivers a compelling performance as Sister Agnes, a Vatican nun intricately involved in the papal election process. The film, directed by Edward Berger, has garnered significant acclaim, securing nine Oscar nominations, including Best Director for Berger and Best Actor for Ralph Fiennes.

Isabella Rossellini receives her first Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
This nomination comes 50 years after Rossellini’s mother, Ingrid Bergman, won her third Oscar, marking a poignant moment in cinematic history. The 97th Academy Awards ceremony is scheduled for March 2, 2025, and will be hosted by Conan O’Brien.
