Alanah Bloor has been awarded Revelation of the Year at Capri Hollywood thanks to her performance in the TV series Sandokan, produced by Lux for Rai Fiction, one of the biggest television successes of 2025. It is an honor that the English actress received with emotion, but also with a deep sense of participation.
“Being here in Capri is wonderful, but I cannot hide a great sadness,” said Alanah Bloor. “The passing of Brigitte Bardot has affected all of us. She was much more than an actress: an icon of freedom, a woman capable of asserting herself with a rebellious and independent personality. Even if I don’t know her entire filmography in detail, her talent and strength remain an absolute reference.”
While accepting the award, the actress recalled how this recognition has an important history behind it. “Knowing that the same award has previously been given to actresses such as Eva Mendes, Heather Graham, Carla Gugino, Mélanie Laurent, Hayden Panettiere, and Imogen Poots makes this moment even more meaningful for me,” she added.
There is also great excitement for the future of Sandokan. “I am overjoyed that filming for the second season will begin in April,” Bloor said. “And the fact that the series has been acquired by Netflix for worldwide distribution is something incredible: an enormous boost for all of us.”
During her stay on the island, Alanah Bloor visited the exhibition dedicated to great divas set up by the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia at the Certosa di San Giacomo, spending time in front of tributes to Sophia Loren, Claudia Cardinale, and director Lina Wertmüller. “These are women who shaped the history not only of cinema, but of society,” she explained. “They taught us to earn respect in the world through talent and determination.”
Making the Capri experience even more intense was the presence at her side of Alessandro Preziosi, the star of the series, and her partner Fred Topping. “Sharing these days here, in such a symbolic place, makes everything even more moving.”
The Capri Hollywood Festival, which provided the setting for the award, is promoted with the support of the Ministry of Culture and the Campania Region, with the participation of Intesa Sanpaolo and Givova, and confirms itself as an international showcase capable of celebrating cinema and its icons, while respectfully honoring the great figures who made its history.

Durante il suo soggiorno sull’isola, Alanah Bloor ha visitato la mostra sulle grandi dive allestita dal Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia presso la Certosa di San Giacomo, soffermandosi sulle figure di Sophia Loren, Claudia Cardinale e della regista Lina Wertmüller. «Sono donne che hanno segnato la storia non solo del cinema, ma della società», ha spiegato. «Hanno insegnato a farsi rispettare nel mondo attraverso il talento e la determinazione».
