Prima dell’Aurora racconta il suo ultimo viaggio – una storia di coraggio, di bellezza, di ricordo. Intrecciando fotografie d’archivio, interviste e animazione, il film torna sui luoghi della missione di Lola, tra le vette che l’hanno scandita, e a distanza di ottant’anni si interroga su che cosa significhi oggi fare Resistenza.
It is dawn on October 16, 1944. Aurora Vuillerminaz, the partisan known as Lola, bids farewell with a glance to her beloved mountains and decides not to reveal a single name to the Fascist soldiers who have captured her. Before Dawn recounts her final journey—a story of courage, beauty, and memory. Weaving together archival photographs, interviews, and animation, the film returns to the places of Lola’s mission, among the peaks that shaped her life, and eighty years on asks what it means to carry on the Resistance today.
