(EN) Capri, December 28 — “Peace is not a slogan; it is a daily responsibility. As the Holy Father said on the day of his inauguration, it must be disarmed and disarming. It is a value we must all strengthen, starting now and looking toward 2026.”
With these words, Noa, the internationally renowned Israeli artist and president of Capri Hollywood, sums up the mission guiding her cultural and human commitment within the event founded by producer Pascal Vicedomini.
Since she began collaborating with the festival, Noa has sought to give Capri Hollywood an even clearer and more recognizable identity: “A festival dedicated to peace and dialogue, capable of bringing together cinema, music and civic conscience. Capri Hollywood, organized with the support of the Italian Ministry of Culture and the Campania Region, with the participation of Intesa Sanpaolo and Givova, is a small yet great festival, known and respected around the world for the quality of its guests, the richness of its program and the opportunities it offers so many young people. This is essential to me.”
In her account, the meeting with the Holy Father also takes on special significance, held during the private audience granted to the artists who took part in the traditional Christmas Concert broadcast by Canale 5. “It was a moment of great spiritual intensity,” Noa explains. “On that occasion, I had the honor of inviting the Pope to inaugurate the event I am organizing next May in Florence. His words are a guide not only for believers, but for anyone working for the common good.”
For the artist, however, peace cannot remain confined to major events or official statements. “Peace is transmitted in the places of everyday life: in families, apartment buildings, schools and offices. That is where respect for others is built. We must all contribute, because peace is born in private spaces even before it is affirmed in seats of power.”
Noa proudly reaffirms the identity of Capri Hollywood as a space for encounter and listening: “It is a festival that has managed to maintain an extremely high level of excellence while remaining human, open and inclusive. That is what makes it credible worldwide.”
And she does not stop there: “I have taken on a new commitment in support of the Castel Gandolfo Festival – Hallelujah Film Festival, to bring there as well a message of culture, art and dialogue.”
Looking to the future, her hope is clear: “I wish that in 2026 the world’s leaders will truly listen to the prayers of Pope Leo for a peace that is disarmed and disarming. It is not a utopia; it is a necessity. And culture can and must do its part.”

Così Noa, artista israeliana di fama internazionale e presidentessa di Capri Hollywood, riassume la missione che guida il suo impegno culturale e umano all’interno della kermesse fondata dal produttore Pascal Vicedomini.
Da quando ha iniziato a collaborare con il festival, Noa ha voluto dare a Capri Hollywood un respiro ancora più chiaro e riconoscibile: «Un festival dedicato alla pace e al dialogo, capace di unire cinema, musica e coscienza civile. Capri Hollywood, organizzato con il sostegno del Ministero della Cultura e della Regione Campania, con la partecipazione di Intesa Sanpaolo e Givova, è un piccolo grande festival, conosciuto e rispettato ovunque nel mondo per la qualità dei suoi ospiti, la ricchezza del programma e le opportunità che offre a tanti giovani. Questo per me è fondamentale».
Nel suo racconto assume un valore speciale anche l’incontro con il Santo Padre, avvenuto in occasione dell’udienza privata riservata agli artisti che hanno partecipato al tradizionale Concerto di Natale, trasmesso da Canale 5. «È stato un momento di grande intensità spirituale», spiega Noa. «In quell’occasione ho avuto l’onore di invitare il Papa a inaugurare l’evento che sto organizzando nel prossimo mese di maggio a Firenze. La sua parola è una guida, non solo per chi crede, ma per chiunque lavori per il bene comune».
Per l’artista, però, la pace non può restare confinata nei grandi eventi o nelle dichiarazioni ufficiali. «La pace si trasmette nei luoghi della vita quotidiana: nelle famiglie, nei condomìni, nelle scuole, negli uffici. È lì che si costruisce il rispetto dell’altro. Tutti dobbiamo contribuire, perché la pace nasce negli ambienti privati prima ancora che nelle sedi del potere».
Noa rivendica con orgoglio l’identità di Capri Hollywood come spazio di incontro e ascolto: «È un festival che ha saputo mantenere un livello di eccellenza altissimo, pur restando umano, aperto, inclusivo. È questo che lo rende credibile nel mondo».
E non si ferma qui: «Ho assunto un nuovo impegno a favore del Festival di Castel Gandolfo – Hallelujah Film Festival, per portare anche lì un messaggio di cultura, arte e dialogo».
Guardando al futuro, l’auspicio è chiaro: «Mi auguro che nel 2026 i potenti della Terra sappiano davvero ascoltare le preghiere di Papa Leone per una pace disarmata e disarmante. Non è un’utopia, è una necessità. E la cultura può e deve fare la sua parte».
