L’adolescente Fortunata, amante dei libri e dotata di una sensibilità spiccata, vive con sua madre, in apparenza amorevole e attenta ai suoi bisogni, ma in realtà cinica e amorale.
Sua madre ogni giorno fa prostituire sua figlia, tra il silenzio del vicinato e gli ospiti momentanei che vi soggiornano per poche ore. Un giorno nella casa degli orrori arriva un parroco, pronto a salvare la ragazzina, o almeno è ciò che sembra.
The teenage Fortunata, a lover of books and endowed with a keen sensitivity, lives with her mother, who appears loving and attentive to her needs but is actually cynical and amoral.
Every day, her mother forces her daughter into a prostitutes, amidst the silence of the neighbors and the temporary guests who stay for only a few hours. One day, a priest arrives at this house of horrors, ready to save the girl—or at least, that’s what it seems.
