Prima dell’Aurora racconta il suo ultimo viaggio – una storia di coraggio, di bellezza, di ricordo. Intrecciando fotografie d’archivio, interviste e animazione, il film torna sui luoghi della missione di Lola, tra le vette che l’hanno scandita, e a distanza di ottant’anni si interroga su che cosa significhi oggi fare Resistenza.
It is the dawn of October 16, 1944. Aurora Vuillerminaz, the partisan known as Lola, bids a silent farewell to her beloved mountains, vowing not to reveal a single name to the Fascist soldiers who captured her. Before the Dawn recounts her final journey—a story of courage, beauty, and remembrance. By weaving together archival photographs, interviews, and animation, the film retraces the steps of Lola’s mission through the peaks that defined it. Eighty years later, it reflects on the enduring meaning of Resistance today.
