In un villaggio libanese, Omar è un ragazzo di sedici anni segnato dal tragico annegamento dei genitori, morti in un incidente su un barcone di migranti. Rimasto solo a prendersi cura della sorella minore Douaa, che non lo abbandona mai, Omar vive con una profonda paura dell’acqua. Nonostante il trauma, compie una promessa silenziosa: proteggerla da quello stesso destino e insegnarle a nuotare, affrontando la propria paura per amore e responsabilità.
In a Lebanese village, sixteen-year-old Omar lives in the shadow of his parents’ tragic drowning in a migrant boat accident. Now the sole guardian of his younger sister Douaa, who never leaves his side, Omar suffers from a deep fear of water. Yet he silently vows to protect her from the same fate and to teach her how to swim, confronting his trauma in an act of love and resilience.
